Unveiling of the World’s Largest Mosaic Mural by Children

That’s right, spanning at approximately 20m2, this amazing mosaic depicts a lively and colourful under water scene and is to be placed on a wall of the International School in Genoa.

The International School in Genoa has made a school wide engagement involving all students, faculty and members of their community with the children of the paediatric oncology department of the Gaslini Children’s Hospital, Genova. As well as children from other paediatric oncology departments in CHU Archet 2 Hospital in Nice and the Ronald McDonald House in Paris, France who contributed by making the mosaic sea creatures for the mural. Nearly 500 people came together to create this awesome artwork!

We are really grateful for the enthusiastic engagement of the grade 11 and 12 CAS students who assisted in different areas as part of their community service project; writing articles, posts for social media, photographing and filming making of the mural as well as T-Cell Warrior dance practice sessions, and helping with the making of the mosaic mural.

It is anticipated that the making of this mural will positively impact the lives of over 500 children. At present over 600 smiles have been witnessed.

Be on the look our next mosaic project!
